This NEW design of customized rubber tips will last you a VERY long time, nice and thick, extra rubber on the bottoms for cushioning your steps and for more durability giving you the confidence to walk miles, you won’t have to worry about the condition of your tips, and their longevity will save you money and maintenance labor in the long run as well!
It is ok if your stilts were previously sanded to fit the round tips, these square tips will still fit your stilts and attach well as long as they're screwed on.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
3/32” Drill bit and 4 screws included.
You will need a phillips #2 head bit or screwdriver.
Remove whatever tread was previously installed.
You can use a hammer to tap them on if you'd like.
Pre-Drill the holes with the provided 3/32” drill bit using the marks/indentations on 2 sides of the rubber tips as a guide for placement.
Use a phillips #2 head screwdriver or drill to screw in the 2 provided screws for each tip to attach it to the stilt peg, the screw does not need to compress the rubber a bunch, just enough to make a slight indentation in the rubber (see product photos).
- the amount of time you’re on the stilts,
- what kind of surfaces you’re walking on,
- the temperature of the walking surface,
- and what you’re doing on the stilts when you’re up there.
NOTE: If you are near Lakeside, OR then you can schedule a time for me to re-tread your stilts for you for no additional fee.
If additional adjustments or maintenance is required or requested, additional fees could be applied.
Rubber tips do not particularly like sharp or loose gravel, of course neither do most stilt walkers, it's like walking on marbles, but just know that if you're out on jagged/rocky/rooty terrain you're gonna go through these tips faster.
